AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

AIM:

The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences - Undergraduate Medical Research Journal (LUMHS-UMRJ) aims to promote a culture of scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice among undergraduate students and young researchers in the medical and allied health sciences. The journal seeks to serve as a dynamic platform for the dissemination of innovative research, scholarly discussion, and academic excellence at both national and international levels.

OBJECTIVES:

To encourage undergraduate research: Foster active participation of undergraduate students in medical and allied health research, nurturing analytical and scientific writing skills.

To disseminate scientific knowledge: Publish high-quality original research, review articles, and case reports that contribute to the advancement of medical, dental, and health sciences.

To promote evidence-based practice: Support the translation of scientific findings into clinical and community health applications that improve patient care and public health outcomes.

To uphold academic and ethical standards: Ensure transparency, integrity, and adherence to international guidelines in research publication and peer review.

To provide a platform for collaboration: Encourage interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration among students, faculty, and professionals within Pakistan and abroad.

To highlight regional and global perspectives: Address both local healthcare challenges and global health priorities through scholarly contributions.

To mentor future researchers: Engage experienced academicians and clinicians in guiding and mentoring students in research methodology, data analysis, and scientific communication.
